Spring Candlelight Dinners - March 18 & 19 and April 22 & 23

The spring candlelight dinners at the John Kline house will be March 18 & 19 and April 22 & 23, 6 pm each evening. Hear the conversations of John Kline's family and friends during the reconstruction period of the spring of 1866. Enjoy a country meal while actors come around the tables to recount their efforts to start anew after the Civil War ended nearly a year ago.

Cost: $40 per plate.

Brethren Life and Thought (Fall, 2015) recently published two contributions to the John Kline Lectures:

-- Carol A. Scheppard, "Perceptions of Martyrdom and John Kline."

-- Dawn Ottoni-Wilhelm, "Counting the Cost, Faith in the Future: Brethren at the End of the Civil War."

The John Kline Lectures were a series of annual talks sponsored by the Homestead to commemorate the Brethren and the Civil War Sesquicentennial.
