Pentecost at the John Kline Homestead, May 20 at 2:45 pm

The Homestead wishes to thank the community for its support wth generous refreshments, a bried program, and a vision for the Homestead's thrid century. Refreshments will imitate what a 19th century preacher would have received after a long ride, and the rpogram will include a Pentecost meditation based on Kline-era beliefs. Guests can walk through the house and the grounds with interpreters at various rooms and locations outside. The public is Welcome.

The John Kline Lectures were a series of annual talks sponsored by the Homestead to commemorate the Brethren and the Civil War Sesquicentennial.

Brethren Life and Thought (Fall, 2015) recently published two contributions to the John Kline Lectures:

-- Carol A. Scheppard, "Perceptions of Martyrdom and John Kline."

-- Dawn Ottoni-Wilhelm, "Counting the Cost, Faith in the Future: Brethren at the End of the Civil War."

The John Kline Lectures were a series of annual talks sponsored by the Homestead to commemorate the Brethren and the Civil War Sesquicentennial.
