This spring 33 fifth-graders came with teachers and parents to explore 4 stations to learn about life on the farm in the mid-19th century. They learned about gardening practices, John Kline's herbal medicine practice at the Herb Garden, how the women made clothing from wool and flax, and met John Kline who briefly told his life story, then gave the students a tour of his 1822 home.
On May 22, three home-school famlies toured the Homestead after visitng the New Market Battlefield.
